Our families
We work with the families of the children who attend our programs, currently supporting around 30 families. All of them live in Ózd, under very difficult circumstances where basic necessities are often lacking. At times there is no electricity, no heating, or they don't have enough beds.
Still, the families stick together and strive to move forward step by step. We do our best to support them—even if just a little—so that their lives may become better.
The most important part of our work is regular, personal contact: frequent home visits, conversations, planning for the future, offering practical advice and follow-up.
Closely connected to this is our evangelism work. We run the Victorious Lamb Community, which offers special programs for children and youth. One generation has already grown up with our help.
Today, some of them have become helpers and volunteers themselves. Our spiritual mission is inseparable from social work. You cannot preach about God and morality to those with empty stomachs. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we are able to regularly provide these families with food and firewood. In this region, firewood replaces gas, electricity, hot water, and even the stove.
We have also decided to start a sports club, which will of course include street football as a core activity—but we also offer table tennis and dance as well.
