Members of our Teen Community
Around 40 young people attend our teen and youth group each year. We welcome youth between the ages of 12 and 18. The older teens are given special responsibilities and small tasks of service, helping them grow in maturity and leadership.
Each week, beyond sharing spiritual values, we aim to provide knowledge and skills that benefit the teens in real life. That's why we run workshops where they can learn to cook and bake, explore different topics, play sports, and develop new competencies.
Background
The young people who attend our programs mostly come from disadvantaged families in Ózd. However, you wouldn't notice that at first glance — they are well-groomed, cheerful, and full of energy. Just like their peers, they compete, joke, fall in love and get heartbroken, argue and make peace again...
What they all have in common is community — the Victorious Lamb Community. This is where they come to recharge, to grow, to learn — day by day, week by week. It is truly a wonder to witness them gradually become mature, balanced, confident in their identity, and firm in their faith in God.
If you'd like to learn more about them, feel free to reach out to us through our contact details.

Camp report by Zita Vincze
Look at them — big and small, a colorful, lively group.
In the mornings, they sometimes splashed water on each other, jumped into the pool, stepped on wasps at the beach, devoured sandwiches two at a time, and ate poppy seed noodles cold.
We celebrated two birthdays — and yes, that's when Brother Tomi and Peti ended up flying into the water! There was disco dancing, singing around the campfire, and moments when a few couldn't hold back their tears — emotion quietly slipping down teenage faces during worship. Then laughter took over as they joked about how Sanyi's sweater nearly caught fire. They went snake-hunting in the garden pond (they even caught a girl — how did they know which was which?), locked Piroska and me out of the house, pretending they had lost the key. They painted T-shirts, performed pantomime on the final night, danced, and on the way home, they fell asleep leaning on each other — traveling for long hours on the bus like heroes, even through a traffic jam caused by a crash.
(Summer 2022)
"As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love… I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete." (John 15:9–11)
Why do kids love summer camp? We asked last year's participants:
-
"Because I love Lake Balaton and all the fun programs."
-
"It makes me happy to see the other kids smiling."
-
"I love Balaton and a whole week of fun!"
-
"I love the bread with lard, and the lake — it's awesome."
-
"Evening talks around the campfire and going to the beach."
-
"I love how new friendships form — and we get to make peace with each other."
-
"I enjoy singing on the bus and the whole trip."
-
"I love the competitions, even if it's not about winning."
-
"It's cool that Uncle Karcsi writes raps about us — we laugh so much!"
-
"I love praying together."
-
"I just love being with you all."
This summer, you can give the gift of similar life-changing experiences.
